Autism: Why I believe it is evolution of the brain.

Autism: Why I believe it is evolution of the brain.

I commented on a post on X about Autism, and ended up sharing some of my theory on evolution and religion.  I did have one follower ask me if I ever wrote out my theory, I responded with I have, but wasn't sure if it was on my blog, so I am going to write it out here.

Please listen or read this with an open mind.

What if God created everything to include the cosmos and science?  In the American education system we lump science in as a subject.  Everything science can prove has always existed it up to us to make breakthroughs and discover the questions to our theories and answers.  I see science as a subject, we can use it to prove Jesus was real, but we can't use it to prove God is real, so it is still obedient to God if you are religious, but explains things we discover.

Around the world archeologist have discovered civilizations that never should have met each other, but will have similar markings in walls, government structure, society make up, all sort of stuff is similar.  Did you know that America and the Philippines were established around the same time with a similar Constitution (we can talk about that another post).  Take the similarities from different civilizations throughout time and apply that to a much bigger picture, the cosmos.  If God made the cosmos, then why can't life on other planets worship the same God we do on earth?  I am not going to knock the bible, however I will say this, history books are often written by people in charge, in power, so I feel some of the bible is true and false.

Science has proven evolution from a little tad pool in the water to Adam and Eve being the first man and woman to walk on earth, but does that mean evolution stops there?  Neanderthals were a split in evolution, they didn't survive, but humans did.  Over the course of time we have seen evolution on our bodies, we see the birth defects, we see people paralyzed, but what we can't see is the evolution of the brain because we have never known how to measure that.  Examples here, the Spartans threw out those born with defects (failed evolution) and today we allow ALL to live in our communities.  We also see success in evolution physically. It is more common now to be over six feet and physically fit than any other point in history.  In our recent history we watched an astronaut go to space, come back, and his DNA has changed, if that isn't the body evolving to adapt to an environment I don't know what is.  To live on Mars, our bodies are going to have to adapt to the environment, meaning those that will live there will eventually have similar, but different DNA to sustain life (Neanderthals have different but similar DNA to humans).

I hope this is making sense so far, and if you have questions, feel free to ask them.  If we can agree God made everything to include science, and science has proven the physical body to evolve, what does that mean for the mind?  We have only been studying the brain for the past 100 years, the body we have been studying forever.  Astronaut Kelly is proof of evolution before us in a an environment that scientist know the variables.

Autism is an advanced way to think, yes we struggle with daily stuff and can look like whatever, but we think a lot differently, but we are the ones with high IQ's, if you look back through human history you will find people that fit our modern day diagnoses of Autism.  People like Elon can function with a healthy body, he is an example of evolution being successful.  Then we have the other end of the spectrum, and everything in between.

What has changed over the course of time for our "environment" as a whole?  We have more stimulation every where today, we have higher academic standards today.  Academics alone has evolved since the beginning of time too, so our brains have to adapt.  You tell me how our environments have changed over time?

This is just my two cents, I know I flourish when I am in a place I feel safe and I can control all the variables of stimulation that I am exposed too.  I do best with people who take time to get to know me and how I communicate, rather than making me live in their world.  The one thing we all need to remember too is being inappropriate is subjective to everyone, the only thing our society agrees to behave by are laws.  Being inappropriate is a form of expression, that is protected by the 1A.  When we feel safe to be ourselves, we will be.  Learn to communicate with us rather than make us come into your world, we won't, your world is ugly, you treat each other horribly, ridicule those of us with disabilities, and those who are on are side rarely ever stand up for us.

In short, those of us that function have always been here hiding and blending in. Those of us that don't function still aren't fully accepted into society.  I get we will always have different opinions, but how you chose to interact with and the words you chose to use are a choice.  We don't like to be disrespected for being us.  Humans are aliens, life in general is an alien, it will be different in every environment.  I have my theory on why Autism is seen more today but I'll remain quiet on it for now.

If you have questions feel free to respectfully ask them, if we get to know each other, then the jokes can come.

Thank you,

Mikey
